If you have created an account with ThroVid, or connected the desktop application to a Facebook Page, you can ask us to delete the data we hold about you. This page explains what that covers and how to ask.
What deletion covers
ThroVid is a desktop application. It does not store your videos, thumbnails, captions or hashtags on our servers — those stay on your own device and are sent straight to Facebook when you publish. What we do hold, on our own servers, is the account and licensing data described in our Privacy Policy: your name and email, order and payment records, device activation records, and basic server logs.
When you connect a Facebook Page, the authorisation code is exchanged for an access token through our server, but that token is handed straight back to your device and is not stored on our server afterwards. There is no separate "Facebook connection" record kept on our server beyond the account data above.
How to request deletion
Deletion is handled as a manual request, reviewed by a person — it is not an automated or instant self-service process. To ask us to delete your account and the data associated with it, email support@throvid.com and include:
- The email address your ThroVid account is registered under
- Your order number, if you have one
- A clear statement that you want your account and its data deleted
We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on the request, so that nobody else can have your account deleted on your behalf.
What happens after you ask
A member of our team reviews the request and carries it out by hand. We deactivate the account and remove what we are not required to keep. As explained in our Privacy Policy, some records — such as order and payment history — must be kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and cannot be deleted on request. Device activation history tied to a licence is kept for the same reason: it is what settles a dispute about who used what. We will reply by email once your request has been actioned.
Data held by Meta
Deleting your data with us does not delete anything Facebook or Meta hold about you or your Page. Facebook's Platform Terms and Meta's own data practices are separate from ours and outside our control. To review or remove what a connected app can access on Facebook's side, use Facebook's own settings — Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites — or contact Meta directly.
