Under the hood
Built for the day forty Pages is normal
Managing one Page rarely breaks anything. Managing a hundred means networks drop mid-publish and a laptop sleeps at exactly the wrong moment. Most of the engineering here went into what happens next.
- The publish queue is written to disk on every state change, so a crash mid-batch loses nothing and republishes nothing twice.
- Failures worth retrying are retried with backoff; failures that are not are reported in plain language against the Page they happened on.
- Your Facebook access token is exchanged through a proxy and never sent to this server in raw form — see our privacy policy.
- Your API key is encrypted locally and used only to call the provider you chose, directly from your machine.

The things people ask first
Do I need a Facebook account?
Yes — ThroVid connects to Facebook Pages you already manage through Facebook's own Graph API (official OAuth login, the same permission screen Facebook shows for any app). ThroVid does not create Pages or accounts for you.
Which AI providers can I use?
Groq, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, OpenRouter, Azure OpenAI, or Ollama for models running on your own machine. You provide the API key and are billed by that provider directly — ThroVid does not mark it up or route it through a server of ours.
Is this a subscription?
No. There is no stored card and nothing charges you automatically. You buy a license, and you renew it yourself if and when you decide to.
Does it need an internet connection?
For publishing to Facebook and for calling your chosen AI provider, yes. For the license itself, your key is verified on your own machine against a cryptographically signed token, with a 14-day grace window if our server cannot be reached at all.
Can I move it to a new computer?
Yes, without asking us. Release the old device from your account, activate the new one, and carry on. Each plan includes a number of self-service moves per 30 days.
Do you see what I publish?
No. Your videos are never uploaded to our servers — the only place they travel to is Facebook, directly from your machine. Your Facebook access token is never sent to us in raw form either; see the privacy policy for exactly what does reach us.
Is it safe to install?
The installer contains the application and nothing else: no bundled toolbars, no second installer, no browser extension, no advertising SDK.
